Lighter than air

DSC_0100asmall.jpg

My last few entries have been a bit on the heavy side (some might say ‘preachy’, although you’re all too kind to say so), so I thought I’d lighten things up a bit with this entry and simply share a few photos from a hot air balloon festival I attended the weekend before last.  Some additional pics from the event are located in the album posted in the right column.

As your week begins, I hope your spirits soar in gentle breezes, that clouds are few and that sunshine brightens your days……

This is just plain ducky! I'd be very jealous if it wasn't for my strong dislike of heights. And that overwhelming feeling of "I'm gonna puke"! LoL

PS> Don'tca love it when the hicks & rednecks come a' callin' to your journal.

It's about damn time you posted an entry that wasn't all preachy and stuff. ::grin:: You knew I'd say something like that, didn't you?!

LOVE the photos. You capture images so well. It's your gift. (And don't go getting all humble on me.) All of us are the lucky recipients of it.

Beautiful shots.  I especially like the one before daylight.  The rubber ducky is my favorite.  My parents won a ride in a hot air balloon years ago.  Dad said it was so quiet and peaceful, he could understand why people would want to do it all the time.

Hot air balloons are so colorful, I hope to find some around here to photograph some day.  For now, I'll be happy looking at your photos.
